Help Preserve the Music, the Nights, and the Culture That Made DrFunWorld Home.
DrFunWorld has launched a cultural preservation project dedicated to the music, people, spaces, and unforgettable nights that shaped a generation between 1999 and 2020. For those who were there, DrFunWorld was never just a name. It was a home, a sound, a room, a pulse, and a living archive of Los Angeles creativity, where music, visuals, dance, friendship, and freedom came together.
From the legendary Alvarado House & Gallery nights to the unforgettable KCRW live bombs, from the “cut-a-rug” spirit that kept people moving to the raw pop/techno sound that gave LA part of its heartbeat, this project is about protecting a culture that still lives in memory, recordings, people, and rare musical treasures that deserve to be found, organized, and shared.
This research will have tangible results on the DrFunWorld website. Members will be able to access the research as it develops, including stories, references, archives, playlists, recordings, cultural notes, and links to valuable music that is not always available in commercial stores or mainstream platforms.
The website will become a living resource: part archive, part community platform, part sound laboratory, and part cultural home for those who know that this music mattered. Now DrFunWorld is leveling up. The next stage is to build a platform with live streaming, a dedicated DJ/VJ station, future radio programming, archival content, visual culture, original music, and curated access to rare and meaningful sounds.
The goal is not only to remember the past, but to make it available, searchable, listenable, and alive for a new generation of DJs, VJs, dancers, creators, and lovers of music.Your donation helps keep this culture alive and preserve the pulse. It supports the development of the DrFunWorld platform, the preservation of recordings and stories, the research behind the archive, the creation of live and digital experiences, and the technical infrastructure needed to bring music, visuals, radio, and community into one home.
This is more than a donation. It is a way to protect the sound, the people, the memory, and the spirit that made DrFunWorld unforgettable. Support DrFunWorld. Keep the music alive and Preserve the Pulse.
